Ellie's First Movie Theatre Experience!

I keep forgetting to post this pictures! Ellie had her first trip to the movie theatre a few months ago to see "Cars"! We had a blast. She loved it! She called the "big" movie. Now every time we pass the theatre, she says, "There's the big movie feater! We watched the big Cars movie dere!" Josh thought it was a little silly to document the first movie theatre experience, but I think it's a milestone! And this is no movie theatre that Josh or I grew up with... this is the 20-plex that looks like an old movie house inside.. gold cherubs staring down at you, marble floors... it's amazing! it looks like a palace from the road! Ellie used to call it the "castle" before we took her there. It's a complex with a ton of stores... nothing like we had growing up! It was great!

Waiting in front the of the theatre. What you can't see is that there is a huge fountain to the left of Ellie that looks like a regular sidwalk, but the fountain comes out of the sidewalk! It is so cool!

Waiting to get popcorn and Coke! What's a movie without those two important things?!

EATING the popcorn and coke... They even had special booster seats with cupholders for kids!

Having a great time watching the movie!

I think she lasted about an hour after the movie started. It was still fun! We saw it again when Grandma and Papaw Buckley came to visit!

We also took Amaya to see Cars for her first movie and she loved it but wanted to explore everything. My first movie was Annie.

I love it! These are the days that are priceless and she will remember forever. Cammie's first movie was Pete's Dragon and of course we had to purchase the soundtrack (record album!!) after wards, and so it began...ha, ha.

Love, MOM Karla
