If anyone ever checks this thing, I'm going to try to start blogging again. Don't hold your breath. If anyone is reading this 30 days or more after the post, let me know.

Our Yearly Update

It probably seems that way! We really are here, but this will probably be the trend for awhile. Work, school, church - who has time to blog?! :) We are doing very well - And as you can tell, A day off from work is about the only time we have to sit down. Josh is busy in the kitchen making pies, rolls, and lots of other yummy things for our Christmas dinner with the family.
Ellie is enjoying school, and is already wanting to go back after a few days off! She takes a dance class after school once a week and loves it. She's very into painting and coloring and drawing lately. She wants to know how to spell everyone's names. She can't wait for Santa to come tonight, neither can we!
I'm loving my job as a receptionist at a gynecologist's office. I get to sit in a cubicle in the back of the office with my headset just answering phones and scheduling! I love it! All of the doctors are Christians, we are a pro-life office, and one of the doctors, Dr. Roy Stringfellow, works very closely with Focus On The Family. If you listen to their daily broadcasts, he is on the air occasionally with Dr. Dobson for various discussions. One thing is for sure, I've learned a lot about female issues, so if anyone has any questions, I'd probably know the answer! :)
Josh is doing very well in his job, and we have been able to lead worship at The World Prayer Center, a 24 hour prayer, praise, and worship center connected to New Life Church. Josh has had the opportunity to lead worship about 5 or 6 times in past few months. It's been a great experience, and he's been asked to lead more in the future.
We recently made a trip home for my brother's wedding and Thanksgiving. It was great to be back in Indiana with family! Colorado Springs is feeling more and more like home all the time, and we are happy to say that this is the first time in seven years that we have been able to put the Christmas tree up in the same house for two years in a row! This is now officially the place we've lived the longest. Almost two years!
We hope and pray that everyone is having a great Christmas season. We do check everyone else's blogs, we're just really bad at updating our own! Leave us a little note to tell that you stopped by!

Killers live in Mexico

My conversaton with Ellie on the way home from school, as we drive past a huge American flag.
Ellie: Mommy! I can say the flag thing!
Me: Go for it!
Ellie: I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of a miracle. And to....... justice for all! (she did say the whole thing)
Me: Awesome! That's great! And where do you put your hand when you say it?
Ellie: On your heart, so you can talk to God before you go to heaven and die.
Me:..mmmm.. ok....
Ellie:Mommy? Where do killers live?
Me: umm... I don't know? A lot of places? You do know that people don't die just from being killed by someone?
Ellie: I think they live in Mexico. Yep, Mexico.
Me: (trying not to snort because I'm laughing so hard) Well... sometimes!
