Happy October

Never had a blizzard in October. Like before Halloween. We were without power for about an hour and a half, and we're having an awesome snow day.

Fall in the Rockies

Yesterday we drove around in the mountains to enjoy the fall color. Only one, just yellow, but it was gorgeous. There is a little old mining town that is in the middle of it all called Cripple Creek, and it is a casino wonderland. The town can't be more than 1,000 people, but it sure is busy! The first picture below is overlooking the town of Cripple Creek. Off in the distance is a shadow that looks like clouds.... but it's actually another range of snowcapped mountains. It was amazing.
