No promises

Yeah, I suck at keeping this thing up lately. Will you forgive me and be really patient with me? Turns out we're not building the big fancy townhome. Oh, we could have, for a whopping $1500 a month. Now to you big city people, that's normal. But out here it's outrageous. We're going to see what happens. We're not upset, it just means a little waiting. Ellie started preschool for the 2nd year this week. I'm bracing myself for the fact in one short year she'll be headed off to Kindergarten. I hope this year goes slow! I promise I'll post something exciting soon with some pictures! In the meantime...

*UPDATE*UPDATE*UPDATE

Ok, ok! I know it's been awhile! We work, people! Just kidding. We do have a major update with pictures to follow VERY soon. All I have to do is upload them to the computer. WE ARE BUILDING A HOUSE!!!! Actually it's a townhome, but we are so excited!! Josh and I were looking at buying a starter home, but has anyone looked at the prices of homes in Colorado Springs lately?! Definitely not what we're used to back in good ole' Indiana. Quite the opposite. The homes that were in our price range were quite the fixer-uppers. And I know you're all shocked to know that Josh is not the handiest guy. Mowing the lawn, if that, is as good as it gets. We started looking around, and we found these townhomes that are just being built around the corner from where we live now, in our price range!! We are building a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath that should be done the first week of October! Yep, from start to finish is about 72 days. Crazy, huh? We got to go to the design center last week and pick out our carpet, countertops, tile, all that fun stuff. I'll post pictures of the progress very soon! So far, the frame work is done, and we have shingles on our roof! We'll keep you posted! In the meantime, here's a link to the floorplan and all that good stuff!
